For my graduation in Feb. 2017, me and my boyfriend went to Doha, Qatar for five days and Dubai, UAE for ten days. We first flew to Qatar through Qatar Airways, it was a 14 hour trip. Since Doha is not a big city, we walked to get to all the sightseeing spots.
Afterwards, we flew to Dubai, and that was about an hour flight. We used the cars provided by our hotel for transportation. We stayed at Burj Khalifa for 3 nights and then in the Dubai Marina for 7 nights.
The accommodation was excellent and the whole experience was very eye opening. Qatar and Dubai are very advanced with their architecture. The buildings are beautiful and almost look futuristic.
I enjoyed seeing many things on this trip, but my favorite would definitely be the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Burj Khalifa was also one of my favorite places, because it is the tallest building in the world and being on top of it was indescribable. We also went dune bashing in Dubai’s desert which was very exciting, then we enjoyed an authentic meal and watched traditional Arabic dances.
The people were so kind and welcoming, I never once felt like I did not belong. The food is very flavorful; they cook very healthy meals with a variety of vegetables and fruits. I loved every single dish I ate, so I cannot pick a favorite. I would go again tomorrow if I had the chance. In fact, we are already planning on going back. I encourage everyone to visit Qatar & Dubai because they are clean, exciting, safe, and you will just have an overall awesome time.
