I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to you since so many of you are new to Centro.
My name is Hesham(Sean) Farag, I was born in Cairo, I left Egypt with my parents at the age of 10 to the US. Since then, I have been living in the US- Virginia with the exception of 4 years that I moved with my wife, Peri and 2 children Nathan and Lexy back to Cairo, Egypt (2009 – 2013).
Being a Systems Engineer by study, I only worked in that field for 5 years after graduating. My urge of wanting to be an entrepreneur led me to start my very first venture in 1998 and since then I have been running my own businesses including Centro for the past seven years.
I want to share with you a little about my experience with OUR Centro. When I did that move with the family to Cairo, Egypt in 2009 I had no intention of starting a business there, as I was running a business in the US back then. Not knowing what God has planned for me I ended up starting Centro to support my US business with only 6 agents working out of a small suite in Maadi, Cairo.
I’ve had several successful businesses over the years as well as failed ones. Believe it or not I learned and developed more from the failed businesses than some of the successful ones. Now out of the 10 plus businesses that I’ve had over the years our beloved Centro is by far the most special and exceptional. It’s a very long story why it is, but I have to make it short (or Marcom will kill me!).
Centro is where I was personally transformed into a true business man! I realized that by looking at just profits and losses of a company that I was missing out on the true picture that God is intending for me to see, which is to focus on helping people develop and grow along with them.
Centro is where God really revealed to me what business is really about, it’s about … You! People… Human Beings… Us … Our Families and Loved Ones – God’s creation! Wish you all success.
