I loved reading fantasy books as a little girl and even tried writing some short stories. Like a typical introvert, I had a rich imagination. I thought I would be a novelist or a poet but I came from an impoverished background. My parents wanted me to take a business-related course that would empower me to secure a real job. They used to tell me “Your overactive imagination is good for amusing people but it will never be enough to pay all your bills in the future Klein”. After all, there is nothing noble about poverty. I am in love with my fantasy world. It was a part of me. Leaving that world would be as traumatic as being separated from your loved ones.

During secondary school, my parents wanted me to start thinking of a “useful” course for my college education. At that time, I started to write poems & perform them in some small cafes & events. In a short period of time, I became a spoken word artist just as I’ve always wanted. But in college, I became shy and I couldn’t even mouth a single word from my pieces. That’s when I stopped performing.

For now, I am in love with novels & poems. I still write poems & short stories but today might not be the right time to give an ear to them. My first book was “Romeo & Juliet” which I understood easily and since then I was hooked. I love reading because you lose yourself in a new different world, it clears your mind and you are stress-free.  In addition, the subject you read can bring you immense inner peace, tranquility, and relaxation. Well, basically entertainment is just the bonus or the freebie of reading. Reading makes me escape reality for a little while and feel as if I’m one of the characters.

Us, writers, have to face a lot of challenges; fear of failure, wondering if the readers and listeners will love your pieces, what will the people around you think. With all that, I still find my books very uplifting, each writer has an enchanting “what & why” before they’ve finished a certain story. They will always leave the reader with a lesson.
