I am Lauren Smith, a wife, a mother and an employee at Centro Manila. Most of my friends ask me how I manage my time given these roles.

Being married for 8 years, I make sure all my responsibilities are fulfilled and I make sure to enjoy my marriage and life as well. We go out on dates every weekend, even though we have 2 kids.

My eldest is 8 and my youngest is 6 years old. Both are in elementary school, and I am a proud mom. Both my kids are honor-roll students.

In the morning when I arrive home from work, I make sure everything my family needs is ready and well organized. Whenever my kids have school events, activities or meetings, I am always there, I never miss it. In the afternoon before I go to work, I make sure all homework is done. Even though my shift at Centro starts in the evening, I make sure that I spend enough time with my kids.

I would say, being a wife, a mother of two and an employee is never an easy job yet still it’s rewarding. It’s all about balance! So that I can provide my children with life necessities, I have to stay employed. Luckily, one of Centro’s priority is to keep the family warm and complete, which caters for employed mothers like me.

I believe Centro is giving me the privilege of being a wife, a mother and a successful employee all at the same time. I always make sure that my family comes first without compromising my responsibilities at Centro.

I have been with Centro for 1 year and 7 months as part of the pioneer team that started back in 2015. Since then, I have been a top performer up to this day. I’m very proud and thankful for the opportunity given to me by Centro and our local management team headed by our Site Manager who encouraged me to apply for the Trainer position.

I’m very thankful that Ms. Moira saw the potential in me and helped me build this further towards a more fruitful and meaningful career with Centro.

I will forever hold in my heart this opportunity and forever be grateful to our Lord God for continuously guiding me in life as a wife, a mother and an employee.
