My name is Shakima Myers. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I moved to Virginia six years ago. I am currently a Team Lead in Winchester. I started my career with Centro Global Solutions as a Verizon Sales Agent in February of 2016 and I am proud to be considered one of the first hired employees for the Winchester site.

As the company started to grow so did my dedication, willingness, and revenue of sales. This led me to becoming a consistent top performer. After two short months with the company, I earned a promotion to Quality Coach. As a QC, I not only had sales goals for myself, I also helped agents exceed in sales and strive to be top performers by motivating and leading by example.

Shortly after my promotion, I then transitioned into a Team Lead position for the Verizon Sales campaign and led a very successful team of agents. I have since then taken on a new role as Team Lead for the Chronic Care Management and Green Valley campaigns. In addition to my leadership role with Centro, I am also taking online classes for Networking and Security and I hope to graduate this year.

I began pursing my Medical Degree back in 2007 since then I have kept up to date on my Medical Assistant Certification which has proved to be an asset for the CCM campaign and has helped me secure the trust of our client.

For the past six years I have volunteered for the Parks and Recreation as a Soccer and Basketball coach. Since then I have had the opportunity to coach and mentor over 80 kids. It’s an honor for me to be given the opportunity to influence so many kids. As a young child growing up in the inner city, I was one of the lucky kids. My parents instilled positive values and encouraged growth.

Even though I do not have any children of my own, I believe every child should have a chance to play and I ensure that they do. I share my passion and love for sports with every child that I coach. I try my hardest to get as many kids off the couch, off their electronic devices, and experience being a part of an encouraging team environment.

I want kids to be kids again, get out and kick a ball, not only text your friends and family but talk and interact face to face with them. My goal is to continue to mentor and inspire as many kids as possible because they are our future I always share advice with my team on how to be successful, live in the moment, and enjoy being who you are. The Moto I continue to live by is “start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can to always be the best”.
